Go down to your favorite record outlet or click on one of the online dealers. Jimmy Smith is back.
Etta James does her magic with a sizzling solo on Willie Dixon's classic, "I Just Wanna Make Love to You." Etta James has one of the most distinctive voices in show business and she sounds simply great here. Dr. John has played a prominent role in many recording sessions and here he's a vital part of this recording of his song, "Only in It for the Money." You'll swear you are down on the Bayou. ... More
What are the best strategies for dealing with the challenge of the increasing internationalization of the Internet and how will extranets be localized to better serve a worldwide constituency?
When it comes to doing business online, clear communication is key. This is doubly important when building a multinational, multilingual extranet.
Used properly, a multilingual extranet can:improve communication between your organization and its employees, customers, and suppliers, and make your worldwide business run more efficiently; allows an organization to deploy and maintain a global corporate Intranet to unify far-flung operations and increase the ease, frequency, and quality of communications; and
enhance existing work processes and advance strategic organization-wide goals.... More
One way of doing that is buying our "stuff." Wear it, drink from it, click over it.
From what I hear, a lot of ya'll Yankees was buying Stetsons --- and fake Stetsons --- to show up at the Shrub's inauguration this past weekend, hoping ya'll could say you were part of the re-invorgated "Texas chic." I read in a Washington Post article one of my buds sent me that the politerati up in Georgetown was tryna get themselves hairdos that looked like the "big hair" our women-folk wear down here, too.
You cain't fake it. You gottah be born with it.
Just like Eminem will not really EVER be Black, ya'll cain't be Texans unless ya'll LIVED IT.
So I'm gonnah give ya' a lesson about livin' in the South this week...More
By "people" I mean enterprises like this one, non-governmental and non-profit organizations, and just regular folks concerned with the future of our species.
They launched on 4 January, 2001, but have been in communication with G21: The World Magazine since last autumn. They invited us to be one of their original Partners. We invite you to visit them when you're not with us. It makes sense.

AMERICAN DREAMS - BUSH INAUGURAL SPECIAL REPORT, Part 2 of 2: The last place I would have expected to run into a San Francisco cop was Washington, D.C. But there he was. I wouldn't have known it if one of the protestors hadn't gone up to him asking for directions.
That's when he explained to her that he was just there for the inauguration, like her... "Boos to The Chief" ROD AMIS More
Like the evening I got a call to the east side and wound up a half hour later at the cab stand in front of the Marble Gang (a Black nightclub and restaurant - the owners were pals from childhood and played marbles on the very ground where they later built their club). A beautiful hooker came walking up to the cab, her diaphonous white gauze pants suit revealing much more of her than it was concealing. She came to the window and signaled for me to roll it down or open the door.
I rolled down the window.... "The King and I" RON DIENER More
This is hardly remarkable. Just as we expect a higher standard of morality from the clergy than we do from corporate executives, so we expect a higher moral code from liberal politicians than we do from conservatives, even though they face the same problems and temptations. Liberals, too, are apt to expect more of themselves and government so they more often fail to meet their own expectations.
Thirdly, the mass media that acts as a filter between politicians and the people generally favour the conservative over the liberal... "The Clinton Legacy" KEVIN CAREY More
What I mean by that is that I was hearing the soundtrack again. I was in the movie where I actually was the hero and the comic foil. But, wait a minute! Let's qualify that. I'm certainly not as handsome or virile anymore. I'm deteriorating rapidly, in fact. The dog is getting old. I'm still funny, though, and willing to take risks. I could be a good old gris-gris man down in N'Orleans. Looking at me, they'd think I was in my sixties, perhaps, but still know I had good ju-ju.
So, again, I ask you to visualize Rod in New Orleans. The courtyard, oleanders (the aroma of Paradise,) and that I go out somewhere with Romance... "Destiny's Children" ROD AMIS More
