(Continued from the Cover) ..
SAN FRANCISCO - 29 MARCH, 1998 - In the two years we have been here on the Web, I've prided myself, as Editor, on trying to bring you important stories, as well as entertainment, rants, humor, and satire.
With this issue, we bring you the third report of our coverage of narco terrorism abroad, the complete transcript of Tom Hargrove's testimony before the U.S. House of Representative's International Relations Committee. G21 SOUTH A
MERICA is able to break this exclusive because of our nearly two-year commitment to this story and this issue. We're extremely proud.
As Mr. Hargrove notes in his testimony, with the exception of ourselves and the New York Times, very little has been produced on this important international issue.

NOW THE BAD NEWS: I've told you before that things behind the scenes at this organization, as with many other publications, can be turbulent.
While I've been focusing on kicking off year Three, design issues, and trying to bring you the best of the new writers in our arena, trouble has been brewing here inside. Those of you who read what RAHEEM had to say about my leadership of the venture a f
ew weeks back might have seen this coming. He was disgruntled about my continued efforts to bring in new voices(new writers,) and my general editorial direction of the magazine.
It now appears that he was not alone.
Even while I focused on bringing you the Hargrove piece, new humor, and worked to make this a very special issue, spot polls and raging e-mails were being exchanged among the writing staff here. The result of all of this was a Palace Coup, whereby I have
been asked to step down from the Editor-in Chief position, effective with this issue.
I've felt that I've done a soldierly job in this role, and was sorry to learn that the staff did not agree.
The details of the changes I've mentioned will appear in Raheem's TRIO column on Wednesday.
I shall miss you all.
WHY?
Because we like you....
Be Good to Each Other,
I think, in that regard, my nose for what was "news" and what was simply repeating, as opposed to reporting, has proven mostly on the beam. I look back at "Road Through the Sugarcane," our first story on Tom Hargrove's kidnapping, at our piece on the Fed
eral Judiciary, our Goodyear advertising story, and our reports from Ireland, as part of what I'm most proud of and that we have covered as well(or better) on the WWW as these stories have been covered anywhere else, on- or off-line.

Hello! Use The Message Board
It seems that Raheem will be taking my place at the helm of the G21, and that the focus and content of the magazine will undergo a radical shift with the next edition, premiering on Sunday.
We're glad you're here. As you can see from the nav' bar to our left, we have a lot to offer this(and EVERY) week. Stick around. More importantly: TELL EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR FRIENDS. We want you here EVERY DAY.
