SAN FRANCISCO - 19 April, 1998: Totally understandable. I guess this is the issue for the rest of us.
Unlike the flaming digerati we have not appointed ourselves as arbiters of anything, and probably shan't feel the desire to ever do so. Fancy cars and fancy clothes probably are not in our cards, either.
So we settle for having a few laughs with a few good friends.
We'll castigate the truly powerful who show no regard whatsoever for the majority of the rest of us. We'll ridicule those among us who refuse to believe the evidence of their own eyes about the malignancy of much that is considered "Business as usual."
You'll see images of the Rat Pack festooned throughout this issue. Their message seemed to be that the epitomy of "cool" was finding friends to have a blast with. They made it seem like so much fun that lots of people believed them. If we can generate the same type of fun for you with this issue, then we can end the week sighing with relief, "Mission accomplished."
23 April: I wrote those words above a couple of days ago. I had no idea how PHSSSST! HOT!
FLAMMABLE, indeed!
Of course, our in-house Muse, FLISS USSHER led the way.
There's not much more I say about JEFF WINBUSH.
And to end the week on a Grace Note, our favorite Dream Girl, CYNDI RUSSELL is back in the house with a very Special Two-Part Feature for you on choosing a dream symbol guide. As usual, Cyndi does it with good humor and humanity! Enjoy!
And if you know of a new site for our Link Partners Program, let us know about that, too.
WHY?
Because we like you....
Be Good to Each Other,
That doesn't mean we'll be abandoning our founding credo of providing "Satire & Commentary for Those Who Ultimately Pay..." the working class. We'll be poking fun at the too-many in Hollywood, here on the Internet, and our world capitols who go to great(and often self-destructive) lengths to demonstrate their coolness.
