Don't Read Me First

G21 INSIDER

USE ME

Publisher's Notes

Montclair, New Jersey - 25 November, 1998 - This cretin --(Oops! You shouldn't have said that, Rod! He has a pretty decent web site) --- writes in to our Vox Populi page with the question:

"But did I miss the satire?"

Of course not, Fool. I know you've read all 144 editions, and the intervening issues of The World's Magazine, given me a proctological exam, and have forgotten much more about satire and web publishing than I ever will. Sheesh!

Living on the East Coast means developing Some Serious Attitude.

Another site made on a Macintosh

"My brother sit me right down and he just talked to me
"He told me that I ought not let you just walk on me..."

-- Bill Withers "Use Me"

"Brother, if you only knew, you'd wish that you were in my shoes. Just keep on using me --- until you use me up." [IBID]

The only person around here who seems to be taking the fact that we are approaching Edition #150 and Year Four of the G21 on the Web is me. Can't understand why that is.

The worst part is that I am looking at nine years of this effort. NINE YEARS --- that's longer than I have lived ANYWHERE and longer than I was married. Crazy-making.

ABOUT THIS EDITION(Fresh Out of the Oven): Let's go stream of consciousness. Joe Piscopo: "I'm from Jersey. Are you from Jersey?" Barf. Let's move on. Julia is in Paris and now I'm house-sitting in (New) Jersey and pretending to maintain a certain level of sanity while being in CAR-CULTURE again. (Where is the subway? Where are the taxis?)

No-no! Wait! I'm okay. This is almost like a city. Deep breaths. I can handle it. They do have buses.

Oh crap! What are my writers sending me this time, and the Loyal Readers? A lot of Wyoming. Another great TABLOID HART.

Hold it.

More e-mails from the Readers? Again?

(What the hell am I doing in New Jersey?)

"But Seriously, Folks" we have ELEVEN great new features for you. A Holiday Surprise of mammoth proportions.

Who loves ya', Baby?

Thanks for coming back this week.

We're glad you're here. We have a lot to offer this(and EVERY) week. Stick around. More importantly: TELL EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR FRIENDS. We want you here EVERY DAY.

WHY?

Because we like you....

Be Good to Each Other,
Rod
