This project in distance learning is provided through the generous support of IREX, an organization fostering the growth of independent journalism in Eastern Europe. The student meet with me each week at an internet cafe in Novi Sad. All the course work and discussion takes place completely online. As far as we know this is the first project of its sort in Yugoslavia. Many of the students involve work for both broadcast and print media in the area.
The project is one of the most exciting enterprises I believe I've ever had the opportunity to be involved with. As we've gone along, I've learned a number of new things and had the opportunity to discuss issues of not only internet journalism, but journalism itself and what we can do make it better in both our countries.
You can find the lectures by following this link: The Novi Sad Lectures
