So I'm back, too. Let's start talking 'bout the business of The People again!
Patrick Dorismond, a Haitian American who happened to live in New York City is now dead. He's dead because he was yet another unarmed Black man who encountered an undercover member of New York's Finest. Mr. Dorismond's problem was that he didn't like drug-users or drug dealers in his neighborhood, so when the undercover cop approached him to purchase crack cocaine, Dorismond was so outraged he took a swing at the dude. That was the last swing that brother would ever take at anyone, Homes.
The cop shot him dead.
They get to do stuff like that to unarmed Black men in New York City. Then the mayor of New York, Rudolph Giuliani, steps in front of the cameras and proceeds to trash the victim of the police shooting. Mayor Giuliani can always find some reason why a cop decided to kill an unarmed Black person.

But old Mayor G. says Mr. Dorismond was no altar boy.
YO, RUDY! ACTUALLY HE WAS IN FACT AN ALTAR BOY GROWIN' UP! But don't let little things like THE FACTS get in your way.
After what had happened with Amidou Diallo, even people who normally back Rudy no matter how arrogant and insulting he is, had to blink. Republicans in New York started cringing and looked the other way. And, lo and behold! Hillary Rodham Clinton, a person even harder to actually like than her husband, is looking more like the next Senator from the State of New York.
Enter Senator John ("I don't know how I let that little smirk beat me out of the Republican nomination.") McCain, stage right. He's riding around on a bus in Long Island with Mayor G. He's smiling and sayin' he likes the guy. Not that many Black folks in Arizona, after all. Arizona was the last state to even authorize an official Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday in the United States. John McCain says Rudy Giuliani is his kindah guy.
So it's obvious to me that John McCain don't have no problem with it being open season on Black men in New York City. Ya'll keep that in mind, Homies.
You see, it's all well and good to be talking about "personal responsibility" and "individual freedom" when you is one of them folks who don't have to take any damned personal responsibility for a rogue and outtah control police force. It's real damned easy to spout that kindah stuff when you is running for office, or living a comfy little life away from the fray.
It's a damned site harder when you know that reaching for your wallet or taking a swing at somebody looking for a drug deal is gonnah end you up dead because your skin is Black.
"Now wait a minute, Raheem, these is isolated incidents. Black people have it good in America these days. We are moving toward a colorblind society," I can hear some of ya'll goodey-two-shoes liberals muling.
To which I say, Go tell that lie somewhere where a bunch of fools be hangin'. 'Cause that lie ain't flying on the streets of the Rotten Apple. Police bullets at UNARMED Black men is!!!
