Wally is back, I was on a sabatical at the NBA finals.

As I predicted the finals were Michael's show as they have been each and every time the Bulls have been there with Michael Jordan. Six finals, six MVPs, all deserving.

Everyone wanted someone else to win the award.

They were pushing Scottie, but Scottie blew out his back, and he had a poor game five.

What people don't seem to realize is that Michael will always be MVP in any championship series he deems to participate in.

Everyone was pulling for a Jazz upset, the Mailman and "Johnboy" finally getting that ring. The only chance they have at a NBA championship ring is when the Bulls break-up and become the "bubs" they were before Michael showed up.

[Such an eventuality] would be deserving, too. The owners of the Bulls just might be the two biggest LOSERS in professional sports today, [in This Writers opinion.]

Every real hoops fan knows that Michael Jordan, Scottie and the assembled cast, have made these clowns very rich and very famous over the last nine years . Every year the big question is will they be back to do it again next year?

Michael JordanJordan is the key, not the owners, or Scottie, or Phil Jackson. Jordan brings the 60+ wins each season. The league MVPs and the Championship rings.

That is why he is the ICON, the best there ever was and maybe the best that will ever be. Even the great ones who have come before him and who are playing today, will not dispute Jordans claim to the throne.

Michael Jordan is the King, at 35 years young, an age where he should have hung up the Chuck Taylors --- or, should we say "Air Jordans"? --- three championships ago.

Michael keeps coming back. Coming back against all odds, with a weaker supporting cast. Coming back in the all important 4th quarter, and the final winning bucket.

The great ones are considered great because they shine in the clutch, they rise to the top during "Crunch Time".

Michael, we are truly not worthy.

Mailman is a class act.

The reputation Karl Malone has gained in these finals [speaks for itself.] He is a hell of a basketball player. Karl Malone had a fine series, finishing with 25 points per game average, and nearly 12 rebounds per game. He did what he could, but the rest of the Jazz let Karl Malone down.

[REPEAT:] Malone didn't let the Jazz down. If you play in the NBA you have to be able to knock down the 20 foot jumper, and you have to have the guts to take the open "j" when it is given to you. The Jazz didn't. Stockton and Hornachek, both great players, didn't come through in the clutch. That is why the Jazz once again are ringless.

Speaking for the Homers

Overall, game six will be remembered as one of the most dramatic and exciting final games in years.

The series was boring and the point totals were a disgrace. Profesional teams shouldn't score in the 50's, ever. I mean ever. Especially the team with the best record in the NBA. It wasn't great defense, the Bulls are the best, it was poor offence.

Next year, the Jazz will be back, the Lakers will be there, and thank you, Michael and Scottie, and the rest.

You rate. Not the best of all time [when measured against] Magic's Lakers, Russell's Celtics, or Bird's Celtic's, but still gave quite a show when you were running.

Jordan will be forever young.

What will a man who is still at the top of the game do in retirement? Thank God for NIKE.

This is Wally, saying "Go for it!"

"Don't forget to Flush!"
