Hello Rod,

Here I am at work. I just wanted to thank you for the sensible, sane, revolutionary work you are doing at G21. Really you are in the forefront of trying to protect the freedoms of regular folk, armed only with your magic "pen" and wry intelligence. It's a pretty sinister atmosphere we're living in, and that's here at home! I appreciated your rant following the world-wide protests of the "fringe elements" . I also followed the link to Bill Moyer's conversation with Chuck Lewis of the Center for Public Integrity. Chilling. I guess we gotta get up, stand up! Thank you.

Thanks for visiting G21 and for writing. I've made no secret of being a dissident, something an old man should not do. Mr. Ashcroft has probably put me at the top his list of people who should be disappeared.

But an idea never dies. This idea of freedom of thought infected me as a child and stayed with me, as I know it stays with you. Resistance is not futile, it is inevitable.

I have heard on the news about the human shields that have gone overseas to help saddam, and if I were one in determining wheather or not these people could enter back into this good ole U S of A then I would tell them there were not welcome back. To me they are traitors to the United States and everyone that ever thought anything about this country.

I don't care if they are not of the opinion that we should go to war or not, but they betrayed the People here and the United States as a whole when they went over to the enemy's court, and I for one would tell them if they like it so much over there then by all means stay over there, we need no traitors among us.

But when you think of it, Jesus had his traitor too, and read what happened to him, I am of the opinion that if these traitors get killed while shielding the enemy then they quite deserve what they get. They could have stayed here and been in the demonstrations that have been here, but no they chose to betray us by going to the side of saddam and that is contemptable to me, and they are no longer americans in my eyes.....THEY ARE TRAITORS TO THIS UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...and in no way deserves to ever come back.

I just read online your excellent critique of Shelby Steele's work; I just stumbled upon it when I was looking for Shelby Steele.

I promote the books of an author who has written a book about black conservatives in the United States; he writes mostly about Africa. Do you know of any African-American publisher or anybody else liberal enough who might be interested in publishing his book? It's a brilliant critique of the black conservative phenomenon in the United States.

I'm sending you a sample of his work which I also still typing for him; sorry for the typos, they'll be corrected in the final version after I finish typing the whole book. It's about 210 pages.

Raheem,

Just read an article off the web that you had written on Shelby Steele...very good and insightful I found your views.

Can you point me in the right direction, I work for a software company and have been dealing with some "discrimination" at work....I wrote the CEO to share with him my experience he fired off an e-mail to me that "I should read the writings of Shelby Steele and JC Watts before blaming my situation on race".

I was appalled at that response!

I am ready to fry him and the company in public and wanted to get your insight and direction.

Any assistance on how I should go about this I would greatly appreciate it.

I have retained counsel but I want to work another angle as well.

Hello Dr. Kail,

My name is George Robinson.I'm 35 and I live in the U.S.I am concerned with prion exposure.

This is a list of possible routs of my possible exposure to prions.This might seem silly but here goes.I was in England in 90 for a few days and had stew and such.I have had a flu vaccination in 92 that's on the list of vaccines containing bovine material from BSE countries (Pasteur Meriuex Connaught)

I've had other vaccines like 3 hep-b vaccines in the mid 90's etc.I was not vegan until this month.I've had 10 fillings replaced last year in N.Y.C by a kook that nicked my gums.Do you think it could be under the fillings and get in via the teeth?I live in a house with multiple cats and dogs that eat commercial pet food containing bone and meat byproducts.

A few cats died strange deaths and I was bitten by one of them.I've taken gelatin containing supplements for a long time.God,all these routes of possible transmission and the government doesn't try to warn us as to what we should do to protect ourselves.How can I know if I'm infected?This has got me very worried.Do you know of any tests fore susceptibility or exposure?Do you think everyone exposed will contract prion disease at some point in their life?

Thanks Dr. Kail, I am alarmed by all this info.

SUBJECT: John Ross and His Backbone of Chocolate Eclair

Hey Homes

Don't get all in a tizzy about ol' "W" killin' off the vacillating, self promoting, feckless wuss John Ross. He along with the sickening Ken O'Keefe and three of their fellow travelers were escorted out of Iraq on Wednesday by the authorities. I guess Saddam wasn't content to let the boys and girls spred their sleeping bags out at the coffee kiosk at the ziggaurats in Nineveh or in a hospital cafe and instead wanted them in position where they might be called upon to do a little human shield work. Looks like the meanies wanted to place the Human Shields in a place where they might have to back their play up -like at an actual oil refinery or power station, someplace of real value to the civilian infrastructure. You know, be a Human Shield for chrissakes' This was John Ross's moment to shine, but-na-a-ah. On second thought, maybe He could do more good by joining up with Grace and fighting Bush's war from the English Westlands. Or Marin would be OK too. If there was any justice in the world , then those Baathist thugs escorting him around on his Iraqi tour buggered his sorry ass before they cut him loose. No Mandela, what?


EDITOR'S NOTE: As his article points out, Mr. Ross was staying at the Daura refinery outside of Baghdad.

One thing I'd like to mention is that in America the Naive by Jamie Menutis towards the end where she says

"These are not things that the government did to help enlarge my perspective, but things I worked for on my own and could take advantage of thanks to the freedoms allowed for in the Constitution."

I'm not exactly sure what she means by "freedoms allowed for in the Constitution" but if she means 'given to us by' then she should re-learn and re-phrase. The Constitution does NOT 'give' us any rights or freedoms. Those are God-given and ours just for being born. But the Constitution DOES (or at least is supposed to) protect those rights and freedoms. Perhaps in your future publications you could make sure these kinds of distinctions are made properly.

All in all though I liked her article. The things she says we must all start doing are really what we should have been doing all along. But with everyones busy schedules, plus the fact that probably most folks lack the interest, we probably get what we earn and deserve. I too wish I was more informed. I learn as I can but realize it would take a full time effort to be truly informed.
