FROM OUR MAILBAG 7/03 - 7/16/98:

Oh Wow. You noticed?

FROM Steve P., San Francisco, USA:

There's a clean new look to the G21 which I love.

I can think of quite a few web designers who should look you way!

You really are defining the envelope.

Keep it up!

Steve

Is this Spam or A Plea? You decide.

FROM Moses Plaques, [No City Provided,] USA:

Hello Rod,

PRESS RELEASE : THE CYBER KNIGHT AWARD

We are asking your help in getting word out to the cyberspace community about a new award that recognizes volunteerism and helpfulness on the net, the CYBER KNIGHT AWARD!

The Cyber Knight Award is intended to recognize the altruistic efforts of the unsung heroes and heroines of the Internet who are quietly giving of themselves to make cyberspace a better place for all of us. Just as the Knights of old were dedicated to helping the helpless and righting wrongs in their corner of the world, so these selfless individuals are finding ways to make a difference online.

The Cyber Knight Newsletter is dedicated to providing a place to say "Thank You!" to all these folks and special recognition, the Cyber Knight Award, to a few that have gone way beyond the call of duty.

We are encouraging anyone in the internet community to submit the name of someone they think fits our profile and a short description of his or her contribution for consideration as a Cyber Knight. Please remember, this award is NOT recognizing accomplishment in their field, such as a cool new program or website. There are already awards for those things. We are looking for individuals who are giving of themselves to help others without any intent of personal gain.

The Cyber Knight Newsletter editorial staff will select up to 25 entrees and will recognize these in the next newsletter. Newsletter subscribers will then vote on the entree they feel best exemplifies the ideals of a Cyber Knight. The entree with the most votes will be Knighted Sir or Lady Winner, receive the Cyber Knight Award, be featured in the next newsletter, and be permanently posted to the "Cyber Knights of the Roundtable" page.

The news letter is FREE and subscribers are eligible to submit candidates for the award and vote on the Cyber Knight of their choice, by e-mailing us at mailto:subscribe@mosesplaques.com or by visiting our site at http://www.mosesplaques.com. This is just another way everyone can do his or her part to make cyberspace the very best it can be. Help us recognize those who are making a difference so others will be encouraged to pitch in.

We are asking your help in getting the word out to the cyberspace community by running the following announcement in your news letter or ezine as a service to your subscribers. Thank you!

ANNOUNCING: The Cyber Knight Award New award recognizing volunteerism & helpfulness in cyberspace. You submit candidates and you select the winner. All FREE! Join the effort to make cyberspace a better place to be. Help make a difference! Details at http://www.mosesplaques.com or subscribe free at: mailto:subscribe@mosesplaques.com

Again, we want to thank you for your help in getting this information out to your part of the Internet. Because the net is sooo complex, our fear is that there are wonderful people out there doing wonderful things for others who will never get recognized because we at the Cyber Knight Newsletter never learn about them.

FROM The Misanthropic Bitch, NYC, USA:

At some point in the last year, you sent me an e-mail about my site, the Misanthropic Bitch. Since you took the initiative to clutter my mailbox with your blatherings, I feel it's only right to tell you about my new URLs.

Tripod, my previous location, unceremoniously gave me the boot. I had to scramble to find a new place. I will eventually move to http://bitch.shutdown.com, but in the meantime, I have moved most of my files to http://eccentrica.org/misanthropicbitch. If you link to my site or know someone who does, make sure it gets updated.

That is all.

An E-mail from a Real Reader? Gosh!

FROM Patrick O'H., Boston, MA, USA:

KO seems like he's on the right track, but how come you have that other West Coast guy writing, too? You don't have two writers in any other section. Lose that chump!

Are People Writing Us Because They Can't get Hits on their own?
